About This Event

Workshops will run from 09:00-13:30 on both days to allow for a deep learning experience, provide time for reflection and accommodate busy diaries. The sessions are limited to 15 people and will focus on the strategic implementation of AI as well as hands-on learning. We will run them as forum confidential sessions and as such will only accept one company from each vertical to allow for open and constructive debate.

About the Experts:

  • Marta stands at the crossroads of frontier technologies, with a reputation in Open Source, Ecosystem Leadership, and the dynamic sphere of Web3. With her strategic acumen, she's empowered enterprises to navigate the complexities of AI, quantum computing, and blockchain, helping them grasp the transformative potential of these technologies (a PhD in Computer Security and Privacy definitely helps!).

    Marta's insights have influenced a myriad of industries including open source leaders (The Linux Foundation and Hyperledger), key blockchain players (Balancer Labs, Blockstream), big enterprises (Deutsche Telekom, Apple) as well as a number of cutting edge startups. Public speaking and mentoring are among her strengths, recognized by accolades such as "Most Influential Person in Blockchain", "Consensys’ Women in Crypto" or "Coindesk's Top 100 People in Blockchain.". She's also a foundational member of the W3C Blockchain Community Group and served as the Chair of the Sovrin Technical Governing Board. When not working while on her treadmill, Marta can be found experimenting in the kitchen or rowing.

  • Eric Van der Kleij previously created the world’s leading Fintech hub - Level39.co in London’s Canary Wharf, supporting the growth of many unicorns, following which he advised the Swiss Government backed Kickstart Fintech accelerator.

    Before that, he worked for the UK Department for International Trade and the U.K. Prime Ministers’ office and led the UK’s famous Tech City (TechNation.io) initiative, feeding into government policy that helped transform the UK’s tech economy. He is Chairman of distributed ledger Activeledger.io and chairs the annual CFC-Conference in St Moritz, moderating high-level regulatory panels, most recently interviewing the Deputy Governor of the Bank of England.

    As a Fintech entrepreneur himself, he previously cofounded fraud prevention Fintech company Adeptra which was acquired by the listed US company FICO in 2012.

    Eric continued to serve for many years as Honorary Chairman of the UK Government’s Global Entrepreneur Programme Advisory Group and is currently a volunteer Advisory Board member of Tech London Advocates and Innovate Finance.

  • Alex Haitoglou is an innovative leader with extensive experience across multiple industries in the corporate world, as well as in tech startups. His career began at Procter & Gamble, where he led household brands and also disruptive innovation strategy and new technologies development for the global business.

    He then headed the healthcare innovation organisation at Walgreens Boots Alliance, ushering in significant advancements in the health-related products and services developed by the group in the US and Europe. Alex then followed his entrepreneurial spirit by founding a health-tech business that was later acquired by Holland and Barrett.

    His latest venture, Ovida, leverages AI and ML to analyse and improve communication, providing a scalable and measurable solution to the challenge of developing soft skills across industries.

  • Tony Lewis is a Series Silicon Valley Tech Founder, Investor, Board Director, and the Co-Founder and CEO of the AI-first platform and consultancy, ThinkChain. Data tech, machine learning, and AI have been central to Tony's passion and profession for over ten years.

    As Co-Founder at Grai (Y Combinator S22), Tony built open-source data lineage to underpin pipeline quality. Additionally as Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Confident Cannabis (Y Combinator S15) the B2B platform and leading software for medical testing laboratories, they grew to 60% market share and 10,000 monthly active users, and raised $20 million+ in VC funding through seed and series A from globally leading funds. They built internal machine learning tech including dimension reduction algorithms, product recommendations using collaborative filtering, sorting, and NLP using RNNs (before transformers).

    Tony previously had a 10-year career in London as an investor with Park Street Partners and Macquarie Bank, and as an advisor focused on private equity M&A with Lazard and Merrill Lynch. He has led more than $700 million in investments in debt and equity and advised on M&A transactions worth more than $5 billion.

    Tony is a member of various professional associations, including YPO the world’s largest leadership community of chief executives.

  • Dan Honeywell, EIR at EdenBase, is a seasoned entrepreneur with a proven record of building and scaling businesses. Notably, he grew his last Healthtech venture from zero to a £95m/$120m valuation within five years. His previous ventures include a strategic consultancy firm that he franchised around the world.

    Dan's extensive founder-operator experience includes raising significant funds, building multi-disciplinary teams, and delivering world-first technologies. He has advised a wide range of rapidly growing companies at C-level across sectors like Digital Health, FMCG, Fintech, Media, Telecoms, and SAAS, including tech giants like LinkedIn as well as others such as Carlsberg, Lloyds TSB, BP, Boots, Blockchains, Almanac, OB10 (acquired by Tungsten), and Portrait Software (acquired by Pitney Bowes).

    He holds a degree in Mandarin and Business and is a recognised industry leader, with collaborations with prestigious universities and multiple awards to his name. He serves on several boards, including the Young Presidents' Organisation and Longevity startup HumanPeople.

    Dan is a world class facilitator who specialises in identifying, developing and dominating new market categories, with a focus on and adoption of technology and driving innovation within established organisations.

  • Nikki joined EdenBase working with the founding team to help build and design the EdenBase ecosystem. She has been developing the digital channels, content strategy and an online presence, as well as organising events and focusing on business development, memberships and partnerships. Nikki’s previous experience working on content development and events at the Crypto Curry Club enabled her to build the foundation for EdenBase to create value for the community through curated content, resources and connections.

    Holding a 2.1 in Neuroscience at the University of Sussex, she is passionate about supporting founders as they develop frontier technologies, such as AI, VR and blockchain, so they can better understand the role of neuroscience for their products.

    She researches longevity, MedTech and the latest findings in science, as well as nutrition and its effects on mental health and brain disorders.

    Nikki previously set up the Brain Tech Club section of Crypto Curry Club, focused on how technology, including AI and gadgets, biohacking and nutrition are being used to optimise the body and mental presence.
