Superscaling Your Product and Team

At our Learning Circle: Superscaling Your Product and Team, our community members enjoyed a lively and engaging discussion with Anton Volovyk, COO of Reface - a tech startup focused on developing and commercialising AI and ML technologies in content creation, and Gokce Gizer, a leading organisational development expert and Founding Team member at EdenBase.

In this discussion, moderated by Eric Van der Kleij (Co-Founder of EdenBase) our panellists shared their experiences and insights on:

  • How a product reaches the tipping point

  • The role and impact of "synthetic media" on the internet

  • How to identify and overcome technical and ethical challenges that come with success

  • Becoming the “Google Play app of the year” and the lessons learned

  • Rapidly growing the team while still creating a great culture and meeting company goals

  • What overscaling is, its impacts and how to avoid it

  • How to attract the attention of one of the world's top VCs

  • Tools, methods and insights on scaling your product and tech startup

Some takeaways from the panel:

▸ The people are the most important asset of any organisation, so it's crucial to be intentional about getting the right people and empowering them to add value with skills and capabilities.

▸ Transparency is particularly important for startups, given the level of uncertainty, volatility and the changing dynamics. When team members know that they can always expect honesty from their leaders, it builds trust, safety and higher commitment.

▸ Always over communicate the why, what and how to your team, and reinforce your message often. Consistent and clear communication of your vision and continuous celebration of successes are a key ingredient for startup growth.
